National Days of India

Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (English: Non-resident Indian Day), is celebrated in India on 9 January each year to mark the contribution of the overseas Indian community to the development of India. The day commemorates the return of Mahatma Gandhi from South Africa in Bombay on 9 January 1915

National Youth Day is celebrated in India on 12 January on the birthday of Swami Vivekananda. In 1984 the Government of India declared the day as the National Youth Day and since 1985 the event is celebrated in India every year.

January 24 is the Indian national girls day it started from 2010. Indian prime minister Tmt. Indira Gandhi join in prime minister on first time Jan-24. so this day Indian govt. allounced for National Girls day. (to stop abortions and harrasment against girls in India)

In India, Republic Day honours the date on which the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India.

International Women's Day (IWD), also called International Working Women's Day, is celebrated on March 8 every year

Independence Day, observed annually on 15 August, is a National Holiday in India commemorating the nation's independence from the British Empire

The reason national sports day is on the 29th of august is because: the legend Dhyan Chand has let his team win. All thanks to Dhyan Chand, their team has won.

In India Engineer's day refers to 15 September every year. This day is celebrated to respect Visvesvaraya, He is held in high regard as a pre-eminent engineer of India

United Nations Organisation(U.N.O) declared October 15th, Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam's Birthday as the "WORLD STUDENTS DAY".

To commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on October 31, as 'Rashtriya Ekta Divas' or the National Integration Day. 

In India, Children's Day is celebrated on 14 November, the birthday of the country's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

National Integration Day is observed every year on 19th of November all over the India. It is celebrated as the birthday anniversary of the first woman prime minister of the India Indira Gandhi.

The Constitution of India was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on "November 26", 1949. Thirty years after, under the leadership of Dr. L. M. Singhvi, the Supreme Court Bar Association declared November 26th as the National Law Day.


World AIDS Day, observed on 1 December every year, is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic

4 December is celebrated as the Navy Day in India, to commemorate the start of Operation Trident during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.

The Armed Forces Flag Day or the Flag Day of India is a day dedicated towards collection of funds from people of India for the welfare of the Indian Armed Forces personnel. It has been observed annually india on December 7 since 1949

Human Rights Day is celebrated annually across the world on 10 December. The date was chosen to honour the United Nations— General Assembly's adoption and proclamation, on 10 December 1948


In Chaudhary Charan Singh's birth anniversary on December 23rd every year is observed as Farmer’s Day ( Kisan Divas). The late Charan Singh is also remembered for the one and only budget he presented in 1979.
